Crafternoon – Let’s get crafty!
Jul 23rd
Care to spend Saturday afternoon with your fellow crafters? The carriageworks in Sydney has a fabulous day on tomorrow for crafters to meet up, sit around, sip tea and work on their own projects together. There are even workshops for those who want to up their crafting skills. I think this is a fab idea – we Craft Army gals try to meet up every now and then for our own ‘crafternoons’ but the scale of this particular event will be even more exciting! Thanks Jo for letting us know about this! More info can be found on the carriageworks blog.
When?
Saturday 24 July, 1 – 5pm

The Paper Quilt Project
Jul 6th
I’m finally putting up my second post here, hurrah!!
So here is a new project for you to join in: The Paper Quilt Project. This project is founded by a lovely collage paper artist Dawbis who by the way you should check her work too, her works are adorable!
Back to The Paper Quilt Project, here’s a summary of what the project is about, quoted from the blog: Every month 12 new artists were given a packet of scrap paper, a tiny 3 1/2″ x 5″ bristol canvas and plenty of room to interpret the project’s theme, “A Day in my Life.” At the end of every month, the collages were to be sewn together to create 12 amazing and unique individual paper quilts.
The Paper Quilt Project is now open for submissions, check out more info about how to join here, too easy! If you’re feeling crafty and you love paper, what else are you waiting for? See you next time!
